Everyone loves being loved...

It’s what we all crave, it gives us a sense of recognition and merit. "Loving” on the other hand is the active side. It takes time, patience, hard work, even sacrifice. Loving means to love even when love isn't reciprocated. The saying is true: “Love suffers long”. Jesus is God’s demonstration of love to us (Pause for a moment, think about that for a minute).

His entire human existence: "selfless", it was for us, and it meant things like rejection, pain, and sacrifice. Love will occasionally have a sad ending, it hurts, and sometimes it goes unrecognized/unappreciated. That sort of pain can help us to empathize with God. However we typically don’t realize God could be showing us emotions on a much smaller level.
